The Factories of the United Sulphochemicals and Detergents Compnay

1. The Sulphochemical Plant
This plant has been designed by the Italian company Ballestra S.p.a in 1992, with the adoption of dry sulphonation process in producing the multi-tube reactor for the production of Sulfonic Acid and all kinds of Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, which are used in manufacturing detergents and cosmetics.

With the aim of applying the overall international quality standards and specifications of products and environment, the plant has been designed based on the latest technological developments such the sulphunation system using the fluid fuel reactor (FFR) and the electronic control system (PLC). High-efficiency systems were also adopted to separate the harmful gases (E.S.P and Scrubber).

The production capacity of the factory reaches (22500 tons) annually. The plant also contains huge tanks to consume (12,000 tons) of liquid for the raw materials and finished products, specifically designed for this purpose, in addition to the warehouses of raw materials and finished products.

The plant has a qualified staff of experts, who are trained in accordance with the technological standards. There is also a special department created only for laboratories and quality control with a staff of qualified individuals and equipped with new and developed equipment to control the quality of the produced raw materials and to maintain the sustainability of good quality as per the adopted specifications and standards. This is precisely what qualified the plant to acquire (ISO 9002) in the year 1997.

2. The Detergent Plant
The detergent plant had been designed and prepared by the Italian company Ballestra S.p.a in 1992. The spray drying was adopted as the basis of production, where the actual production started in the year 1993.

The production capacity of this plant reaches (30,000 tons) per year, subject to be increased in future up to (50,000 tons). The plant produces various compositions with various sizes of high foam and low foam detergents using the latest Italian machinery.

In line with the overall International standards of quality and specifications for products and environment, the plant has been supplied with a dedusting system to withdraw and pick up the dust before being distributed in the air. This dedusting system contains fine dedusting filters that are capable of picking up the finest dust to preserve the environment. The plant has been provided with a special melting unit to melt the Sodium Silicate by static dissolver with a capacity of 3 tons/hour.

The plant has also been supplied with huge warehouses to store raw and ready materials with areas that reach up to (10,000 m2).

The plant has a qualified and trained staff of employees and passes through strict control of the Laboratories and Quality Control Department. This qualified it to obtain (ISO 9002) in the year 1997.

A. Low Foam Detergents:
- Neon 2.8 kg / 2.25 kg / 500 g
- Super White 2.25 kg / 500 g
- Maza 2.5 kg
- Oryx 2.5 kg
- Wonder White 3 kg

B. High Foam Detergents:
- Neon 180 gm / 80 gm
- Super White 180 gm
- Maza 180 gm
- Oryx 180 gm
- Wonder White 150g

The Unified Soap Industry Company
The company was established in 2001 as one of ICA GROUP of companies. Its establishment at that time came to meet and consume the increasing demand for soap in the local market and overseas markets, and as an extension of the first soap factory in the Industrial Commercial & Agricultural Company - ICA, which was founded in 1964. After the closure of this plant in 2005, Unified Soap Industry Company became the only soap plant that manufactures soap in the group. Therefore, it was equipped with the latest machinery for pressing and packaging soap. The present production capacity of the plant reaches (9000 tons) per year, and it has a staff of qualified technicians. To achieve this capacity, the plany uses the well recognized production lines (MAZZONI) and (ACMA) packaging machines to produce the following brands:

Zein Soap: 85 gm and 125 gm
Neon Soap: 75 gm and 125 gm
Sohat Medical Soap: 90 gm
Petra Hotels Soap: 22 gm

The plants of the Industrial Commercial and Agriculture Company –ICA.
1. The Liquid Detergents Plant
The factory was established in 1964. Since its establishment, it worked on developing its abilities and experiences and adopted the constant research and development methodology in order to meet the requirements of the markets and raising its competitiveness to cope up with the rapid paradigm shift of liquid products.

The production capacity of the plant reaches (7200 tons) per year achieved by the hands of a qualified staff of technicians and workers throughout the production lines and machinery brought from famous and deep-rooted International companies such as (THOMSON, NOVAPACK, J. KUGLER and NEWMAN).

This factory has the necessary flexibility to produce a large number of products with various sizes and volumes, starting from (200 ml up to 20 Liter). Its brands are:

- Dishwashing Liquid (Super White, Orval of different types, Neon)
- Hair Shampoo (Sun Shower with various types and Fragrances)
- Hands Liquid (Zain with various types, Sohat, Neon)
- Glass Cleaner (Bright)
- Disinfectants and Antiseptics (Crisol, Gimtol)
- Grease Remover (Deo)
- Shower Gel (Ban, Neon)
- Fabric softener (Neon with different types and colors)
- Carpet Cleaner (Spot Out)
- Hipoclor

2. Pastes and Cosmetics Plant
The plant was established in 1964 based on its faith to keep pace with what is the latest in the field its production and introducing the latest technologies. For this reason, its products preserved a leadership position in the market because of its high quality and competitive prices. The production capacity of the plant is about 1700 tons per year. The plant uses production lines and machinery from international companies such as UNIVERSAL and NORDEN. These lines provides the plant with the capability of producing various types Aluminum and Laminate Tubes by producing the following brands:

- Diamond Glow Toothpaste
- Tri Fresh Toothpaste
- Ideal Shaving Cream
- Solita Hand Cream
- Ima Hair gel

3. The Plastic Plant
This plant was founded in 1995 with the purpose of providing a logistic support to the Liquid Detergents Plant, where it provides the said plant with its needs of plastic packs and covers. The plant was equipped with the best brands of machinery with German technology, such as (Kamman & Battenfeld). The production capacity of the plant reaches approximately (300 tons) per year. It can also meet the demands of the local market for plastic products.
